Overall we had a good stay! It can get spooky overnight if you're in a small group or by yourself so make sure you bring plenty of torches!

If visiting this campsite it's a VERY good idea to stick to -Firth Road- unless you have a 4WD. As most of the roads Google recommends are impassable by smaller cars.

Full of wildlife, beautiful location with lots of sites to choose from, awesome fire pits with BBQs, clean long drop dunny.. The only minor problem is getting a flat spot and the occasional trail bike..awesome place.

I don't recommend doing the Anderson's Mill walk, unless by trail bike Or horse back... or unless you enjoy a very long very uneventful walk. The signs at the campsite tell of pristine streams along the walk which no longer exist, it also tells of an impressive 'saw dust pile' and old mill site which is damn near impossible to find and honestly a pretty big disappointment when you do. We also found most of the trail is blocked by large fallen trees.

Excellent free camp ground away from the city. Gets busy quickly.

The fire pits are excellent and have rotating metal grills so you can cook your food over the fire. Along with lots of picnic benches and ONE under cover bench.

The amenities were good (toilet etc). They were well stocked with toilet paper, just don't look down or smell too much as it's a drop toilet.

It's also a well maintained area. With lots of places to set up camp.

DON'T go here for swimming or fishing. The water nearby is murky and muddy. It's a very very small dam so very little chance of catching any fish. Though you may have some luck with Yabbies in there.

We went here in the middle of winter. Plenty of firewood. Nice areas to look up at the stars. The groud is slopped in some places but its a close beautiful camping area
